The Program

该计划 On three new coins for 2013, five generals who attended or taught at the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) of the United States Army are honored. When George Washington was a general in the colonial army, the 5-star grade hadn't been created. The Infantry 步兵 On June 14, 1775, 10 companies of light infantry (soldiers who fight on foot) were formed. The Infantry played and continues to play the major role in gaining and protecting freedom for us and our allies. The silver dollar's obverse features a modern Infantry soldier on rocky ground charging forward and beckoning troops to follow. These two coins celebrate the creation of the Medal of Honor. Congress authorized the Medal of Honor as the Navy's highest personal decoration in 1861. These three coins recognize and celebrate the founding of the United States Army at the time of the Revolutionary War in 1775. Benjamin Franklin was 70 years old when he signed the Declaration of Independence. But after 11 years as a free nation, the United States still did not have a strong national government to unite the states far into the future. It needed a 宪法. Boy Scouts of America Centennial Dollar

The Boy Scouts of America is the largest youth organization in the United States. Its three programs combined (cub scouting, boy scouting, and venturing) serve 2.8 million young members. 美国男童子军是美国最大的青少年组织。它由幼童子军、少年童子军、青年三个部分组成，拥有280万年青成员。 Many people have been Scouts over the years.
